- Lead Lucy Electric’s developing Energy Services business unit in the UK
- Provide vision, strategy, direction, and leadership for energy services operations
- Achieve financial, operational, sales revenue, and profit targets while controlling costs and managing risk
- Develop strategic plans, annual budgets, and longer-term plans aligned with Lucy Electric strategy
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support to UK and export-market customers
- Manage client relationships and relationships with Distribution Network Operators and industrial renewables customers
- Oversee energy services operations, supply chain activities, warranty, and aftermarket service support
- Manage Energy Services projects from inception to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget, high-quality delivery
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, health and safety regulations
- Hire, train, and manage technical staff
- Develop and improve departmental policies and procedures
- Monitor industry trends and technologies to drive innovation and continuous improvement
- Share best practices and market insights across regions
- Conduct health and safety audits and risk assessments
- Report to the Regional Managing Director, Europe, in a matrix structure and deliver business-unit KPIs
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a technical services sector industry, preferably within renewables, electricity distribution, or engineering/manufacturing
- Strong people leadership skills
- Broad business, financial, commercial, operations, and technical knowledge
- Strong service mindset
- Experience managing multi-functional and multi-matrix relationships in a multinational, matrix organisation
- Proven track record of delivering successful energy projects
- Willingness to travel to overseas Lucy sites or customers
- Strong background in electrical engineering, project management, and team leadership
- Proven negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Strong commercial acumen and experience developing and implementing short- to long-range business strategies
- Proven capability operating at senior management level
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and managing operational effectiveness
- Financial planning, cost control, and budget management experience
- Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
- Understanding of the electrical power engineering industry
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage operational manpower efficiently and effectively
- Degree in a relevant discipline such as business, business administration, or business management is essential
- Relevant electrical or mechanical engineering qualification desirable
