Job summary

Aramark UK is recruiting a General Manager to lead the catering contract at HMP Birmingham, delivering prisoner feeding, staff and visitor catering within a challenging custodial environment. You will oversee a team, manage budgets and KPIs, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and build strong partnerships with prison management and MOJ stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing large catering, hospitality, facilities management or service contracts.
• Strong financial and commercial acumen with budget management experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
• Experience working within a highly regulated environment.
• Excellent stakeholder management and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational, planning and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Overall contract performance and service delivery across the HMP Birmingham catering operation.
• Financial management, budget control and P&L accountability.
• Ensure food safety, health & safety and statutory compliance.
• Client relationship management and stakeholder engagement.
• People management, succession planning and team development.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
