Job description

We are a leading provider of healthcare support services, committed to delivering excellence in hospital operations. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced General Manager to oversee the leadership of multiple essential services across 3 hospital and community sites, with managers onsite reporting to you. This role is crucial in ensuring high standards in cleaning, catering, retail, security, portering, and pest control services.

This role involves working 4 days on one site and 1 day per week on another site. The community site already has a manager in place who reports to you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing and overseeing cleaning, catering, retail, portering, pest control, and security services
  • Ensuring service excellence, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency across all sites
  • Developing and implementing strategies for continuous improvement in service delivery
  • Managing budgets, contracts, and supplier relationships effectively
  • Leading and motivating diverse teams to achieve high performance and customer satisfaction
  • Liaising with hospital management, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to align services with hospital needs
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards

  • Proven experience in managing multiple hospital support services
  • Strong leadership and operational management skills
  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
