The Job:
As General Manager, you will be fully responsible for the day-to-day operations of this Scottish-based flagship leisure venue. You will report to a Scottish-based Regional Operational Director and manage an existing team of approximately 40 to 50 employees, including full-time and part-time staff. Your responsibilities include managing all financial budgets, controlling costs, and overseeing payroll and employee rosters. The venue has been performing well since its recent reopening, but requires a hands-on General Manager to ensure it is positioned correctly in the market, attracting the right audience for events such as fitness classes, private birthdays, and other gatherings. The company emphasizes high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety, and you will need to ensure staff are trained and standards are upheld.
We are ideally seeking an experienced hospitality or leisure operational manager, possibly from a hotel or leisure background, with comprehensive experience in events, food & beverage, and team development. Candidates looking to remain within the hospitality and attractions sector and interested in a role with reduced working hours ending by 10 pm (rather than 1 am) are encouraged to apply.
