YesGolfing Royston Golf Club is seeking a committed General Manager to lead the club’s operations with a strategic, hands-on approach. You will work with staff, members and the Management Committee to drive development and sustainability while maintaining high service standards.

Reporting to the Chairman, you will oversee IT systems (Intelligent Golf, Xero), HR and compliance, and implement a dynamic pricing strategy to boost membership and visitor revenue.

Qualificações

• Leading the management and development of all aspects of the club.
• IT literate with Intelligent Golf and cloud-based accounts (Xero) experience.
• Pro‑active communication to drive member recruitment and visitor revenue via a sales & marketing strategy including green fee pricing.
• Provide information to members, update the website and manage social media.
• HR/employment law knowledge for day‑to‑day staff management.
• Compliance with health & safety, licensing and equality legislation.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and smooth club operations year-round.

Responsabilidades

The Club:

An 18 hole downland course, laid out on SSI/Common land, with a unique links feel situated near the Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire border. The naturally draining chalk landscape allows members and visitors to enjoy the full golfing experience throughout the year, complemented by a friendly and welcoming club house, bar and a fully stocked pro-shop. Royston is a member run club.

The Role:

The Club is looking to recruit a committed, ambitious and inspiring Golf Club Manager who can work with our excellent staff teams, members and the Management Committee.

The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who can combine strategic thinking with hands‑on operational management. You will be expected to bring fresh ideas, drive continuous improvement, and contribute positively to the Club’s long‑term development and sustainability.

Reporting to the Chairman the General Manager’s key responsibilities will include;

• -Leading the management and development of all aspects of the club
• -IT literate with experience of relevant software applications (Intelligent Golf) and cloud-based accounts (Zero), management systems/data storage and handicap/tee time systems.
• -Pro‑active communication, both internally and externally, to drive member recruitment and other visitor revenue through a robust sales & marketing strategy. This includes the implementation of green fee dynamic pricing.
• -Provide information to members, updating the website[DE1] and ensure social media channels are fully exploited.
• -Day‑to‑day management of Club staff with practical knowledge of HR/employment law. (Citation
