Job summary

WR Engineering is seeking a General Manager - Business Development to lead growth in global markets for high‑performance valve solutions across oil & gas, hydrogen and carbon capture sectors.

You will drive international sales, develop new markets and strengthen distributor and end-user relationships, identifying major project opportunities and negotiating commercial agreements to grow revenue and profitability globally.

Qualifications

• Experience in valve, flow control or broader engineering sectors preferred.

Are you a commercially driven engineering with a proven track record of winning business and growing international markets?

We're looking for a General Manager to drive the global growth of a specialist engineering manufacturer supplying high-performance valve solutions into the oil & gas, hydrogen and carbon capture sectors.

This is a business development-led position focused on expanding global sales, developing new markets and strengthening distributor and end-user relationships. You'll identify and convert major project opportunities, negotiate commercial agreements, and play a key role in growing revenue and profitability across international territories.

What You'll Bring

• Strong business development experience within the valve, flow control or wider engineering sector.
• Technical understanding of industrial valves and associated products.
• Knowledge of the hydrogen and carbon capture markets is highly desirable.
• Experience managing international distributors and developing global accounts.
• Excellent commercial negotiation and relationship-building skills.
