Puss in Boots, Stockport, is seeking an experienced Co-General Manager to join the senior management team and drive leadership across a busy pub operation.

You will share responsibility for standards, people and performance, leading both front and back of house with credibility and accountability.

Qualifications

• Significant management experience within a busy, high-volume pub/restaurant or fresh-food operation.
• Experience leading large and varied teams.
• Strong operational and commercial awareness.
• Ability to challenge senior kitchen teams and address poor performance.
• Excellent organisational skills and reliable follow-through.
• Remain calm, clear and decisive under pressure.
• Genuine interest in developing managers and building strong teams.
• Willingness to lead both front-of-house and back-of-house teams.

Co-General Manager - Puss in Boots, Stockport

Experienced hospitality leader looking for a substantial operation where you can really make an impact?

We're looking for an experienced General Manager to join the senior management team at Puss in Boots, one of Almond Family Pubs' largest and busiest venues.

This isn't a role for someone looking to simply manage shifts.

Puss in Boots is a high-volume, fresh-food pub with a large team and a fast-paced operation. You'll work alongside an established General Manager, taking joint responsibility for the leadership, standards, people and commercial performance of the pub.

We're specifically looking for someone who brings strong operational leadership, structure and accountability and who is comfortable leading experienced teams across both front and back of house.

What you'll be doing

You’ll take a senior leadership role across the whole pub, including:

• Leading and developing the management and wider pub team
• Setting clear expectations and holding people accountable for delivering them
• Tackling performance, conduct and standards issues confidently and consistently
• Building strong, professional relationships with both FOH and kitchen teams
• Driving consistently high standards of guest experience
• Supporting recruitment, onboarding, training and development
• Taking ownership of labour, stock, cash, compliance and operational processes
• Using systems and commercial information to make good operational decisions
• Creating structure, consistency and clear communication across a large team
• Working closely with your Co-GM and the wider Almond Family Pubs leadership team to continually improve the business

Who we're looking for

We're looking for an experienced hospitality leader with presence, resilience and credibility.

You’ll ideally have:

• Significant management experience within a busy, high-volume pub, restaurant or fresh-food hospitality operation
• Experience leading large and varied teams
• Strong operational and commercial awareness
• Confidence working closely with and challenging senior kitchen teams
• A track record of handling difficult conversations and addressing poor performance
• Excellent organisational skills and strong follow-through
• The ability to remain calm, clear and decisive under pressure
• High standards and the confidence to challenge when they're not being met
• A genuine interest in developing managers and building strong teams

You don't need to be the loudest person in the room. But you do need to be comfortable leading it.
