This role requires an inspirational leader with proven flair and commercial ability, as well as the skill, energy, and determination to drive and develop the business. We're looking for a manager with experience in developing the standards and reputation of a gym, while nurturing a growing membership base and team.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to all policies and procedures in the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
- Maintain the JD Gyms Brand Standard.
- Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly safety checks. Report and address all defects to ensure the building and equipment are safe.
- Recruit and manage a team of Fitness Coaches and General Assistants to ensure operational coverage and meet daily expectations.
- Hold regular team meetings for development and updates.
- Work towards and achieve all sales and membership targets.
- Drive and maximize secondary spending revenue.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness across the gym facility.
- Ensure in-house cleaners adhere to standards and manage weekly banking to minimize wastage and maximize profit.
- Adhere to uniform standards for all team members.
- Create an enjoyable work environment for the team.
- Represent JD Gyms as an ambassador.
Skills and Experience:
- Proven management experience within the leisure industry.
- Passionate about customer service and inspirational leadership.
- Qualified to at least Level 2 Gym Instructor.
- Track record in driving sales, local marketing, recruiting, and managing successful teams.
- Experience as a General Manager or similar operational role within a leisure facility is preferred.
