We are looking for an experienced General Manager to join our team. As the General Manager, you will be expected to provide an in-depth knowledge on how to manage our day-to-day operations as well as deliver exceptional levels of leadership, all of which will aim to support our vision in delivering memorable dining experiences through great customer service.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Number One – Oversee the day-to-day operations of the business. This is not a role for someone who wants to be sat at a computer all day, or even half of the day, this is very much an operational role and the successful applicant will be very hands-on in the day-to-day operations.
  • Overseeing the dining experience through a holistic approach, i.e. ambiance, quality of the food as well as service, developing rapport with guests, etc.
  • Handling customers’ complaints on site as well through our feedback platforms.
  • Business driven – monitor the venues finances in general as well as promoting the restaurant through positive word of mouth, i.e., great feedback.
  • Completing necessary paperwork, e.g., labour cost % reports, staff attendance reports, performance reviews, etc.
  • Directly involved in the recruiting and hiring of staff, especially the management team.
  • Monitor the venues KPIs, e.g., staff scheduling to ensure labour cost % will be met, waste from kitchen and bar to ensure GP% target will be met, etc.
  • Liaising with the owners and Head Chef or Bar Manager to develop new menus, i.e. consolidating the team’s and owners’ ideas and scheduling cook offs and tasters, following back on feedback, revise costings and suggest selling prices, all the way to printing the menus and changing prices on the till system.
  • Liaise with the Head Chef to enforce food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase customer safety.
  • Liaise with the Restaurant Manager to streamline the restaurant processes and improve the customers’ experience.
