Job summary

Overbury Enterprises in a rural setting is seeking a versatile Maintenance Technician to join its friendly team. The role is varied and hands-on, with opportunities to work independently or with colleagues to maintain period properties.

You will respond to reactive repairs, handle plumbing and carpentry tasks, perform pre-paint cycles, and monitor a private water supply with weekly checks, all while upholding safety and quality standards for tenants and facilities.

Qualifications

• Experience as a site carpenter, handyman or general maintenance technician.
• Able to work independently and as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain period properties, either independently or with a team.
• Respond to day-to-day reactive repairs and maintenance issues (plumbing, water leaks, carpentry).

The Position

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same, including:

• Working independently or as part of a team to help manage and maintain our period properties.
• Responding to day-to-day reactive repairs and maintenance issues, including plumbing issues, water leaks, carpentry repairs and investigations.
• Carrying out cyclical pre-paint repairs.
• Assisting with the monitoring and maintaining of our private water supply, including weekly checks.
• Helping maintain the high standards across our properties and facilities

About You

You may have experience as a site carpenter, Handyman or General Maintenance Technician with a range of skills:

• Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a supportive team
• Practical and solutions-focused, with a positive can-do attitude
• Friendly, approachable and professional when working with tenants and colleagues
• Committed to excellent standards, particularly around health and safety
• Someone who takes pride in quality workmanship and enjoys a varied working day
