Position: General Maintenance Operative
Reporting to: Project and Facilities Manager
We are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join the Nicholl Oils Group as a General Maintenance Operative, where you will be part of a team responsible for providing maintenance support on our Retail Petroleum Sites and Fuel Depots, Office facilities and Rental portfolio across various locations within Northern
This is a challenging and varied role where you will provide a wide range of property related activities ensuring compliance, health & safety and security standards are adhered to
Responsibilities
- General inspection of Company buildings, Depots, Offices and Yard areas, identifying and documenting any repair and renovations needs.
- General inspection of Company Retail Forecourts, Car-Parking facilities and storage areas to ensure good housekeeping is maintained and repair needs are met.
- General Maintenance and DIY e.g., Painting, Wall tiling, lock and door handle replacement etc.
- General maintenance of interior/ exterior buildings e.g., changing light bulbs, removing waste, grass cutting and general ground maintenance
- General maintenance and inspection of Bund areas, Interceptors and storage tanks, monitoring loading points for leaks or repair needs.
- General inspection or set up of operations equipment and monitoring of our retail systems at all relevant locations, and troubleshoot any issues when and where necessary.
- Ensure the safe storage and upkeep of maintenance equipment and relevant vehicles.
- Plan an effective work schedule that allows all work to be performed to required standard in set time frame.
- Ensure the execution of all maintenance, repair works and routine checks are carried out in accordance with Health & Safety regulations; whilst adhering to the company standard operations and safety policies.
- Monitoring relevant Health & Safety notifications and ensure First Aid stock is replenished at sites.
- Identifying and reporting to senior management any safety concerns, quality issues and maintenance issues.
- Complete weekly digital audit trail reports to ensure site compliance is documented.
- Participating in Risk assessments if and when necessary.
- Comply with all statutory and company regulations, relating to health and safety, hygiene, fire regulations, emergency procedures, site security and ensure safe working methods and PPE are used when and where applicable.
- Ensure compliance with all risk assessments, method statement, COSHH data sheets relating to work environment to ensure H&S of employees, customers, public.
Experience, Skills and Attributes
- Demonstrate an aptitude for problem solving and the ability to determine solutions for customers.
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Valid driver's license
- Forklift an advantage
- Be available to participate in the Rota to provide an emergency call out service when required.
- All necessary training can be provided (IOSH) Forklift (SPA)
Location
Location: Roles available in Greysteel and Omagh.
Hours
Hours: This role is based on 40 hours per week.
Monday to Friday. (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)
Salary
Salary: Salary is negotiable depending on candidates experience and qualifications.
