Job summary

ABM is seeking a General Maintenance Operative in Belfast to join a team delivering a range of maintenance tasks across the premises. The role focuses on safe, reliable building fabric repairs, plumbing, electrical, and heating tasks, with an emphasis on customer service.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities to contribute to preventative maintenance and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance across building fabric, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Trade qualifications or certifications are advantageous.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Willingness to work flexible hours if required.
• Valid driver’s licence is a plus.

JOB OVERVIEW & PURPOSE:

The General Maintenance Operative is responsible for undertaking a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the safety, functionality, and appearance of the premises. You will work as part of a team to carry out planned and reactive maintenance duties, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a professional approach at all times.

REQUIREMENTS:
