Job summary

Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited is seeking a proactive general labour assistant to support operators and maintain workshop organisation at our Catcliffe site in Rotherham.

You will assist with basic tasks, move stock safely, top up coolant, dispose of waste, uphold 5S standards and help the maintenance team with routine duties in a fast-paced aerospace-focused manufacturing environment. No prior aerospace experience is required as full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience in general factory duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 5S across the site.
• Assist operators with basic tasks and general labour support, coolant top ups, swarf bin empty.
• Handle materials safely, including moving stock.
• General DIY activities in support of the maintenance team.
• Dispose of waste materials and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, including machinery, floors, and work areas and yard/external areas.

Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited (AML) is an advanced machining supplier focused on aerofoil and rotative components. We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.

The Position
