Job summary

Advanced Manufacturing (Sheffield) Limited in Rotherham is seeking a hands-on general labour operative to support manufacturing activities, maintain 5S across the site, and assist operators with basic tasks.

You will handle materials safely, support maintenance and keep tools, workshop, and yard clean, ensuring health and safety standards are met. Benefits include pension and cycle-to-work schemes.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above.
• Experience working in a team environment.
• Experience in general factory duties.

Responsibilities

• Maintain 5S across the site.
• Assist operators with basic tasks and general labour support, coolant top ups, swarf bin empty.
• Handle materials safely, including moving stock.
• General DIY activities in support of the maintenance team.
• Dispose of waste materials and ensure recycling procedures are followed.
• Ensure all work is carried out in line with health & safety requirements.
• Maintain tools and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the workshop, including machinery, floors, and work areas and Yard/external areas.

We are at the leading edge of machining technologies and are dedicated to delivering efficiency and reduced cycle times for our clients in the aerospace sector. Our advanced milling, turning and 5-axis capacity enables us to machine a wide range of products including bespoke ring, casing, gearbox, aerofoil and aerostructure components. To-Date, we have manufactured components for Rolls-Royce, Boeing, Siemens, Bombardier and are looking to expand out Machining capabilities over the coming year.

The Position
