Job summary

King Edward VI Aston School is seeking a General Assistant to support the busy food service operation. You will help with food preparation, serving, and maintaining hygiene in kitchens and dining areas, working as part of a friendly team.

The role offers 20 hours per week during term time (38 weeks) at £12.71 per hour, with full training provided and a supportive work environment at the school site.

About the Role

As a

General Assistant you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

What You’ll Do

Additional Information

Term Time Only – Equated Pay

This role works 38 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
