Job summary

Sodexo Group is hiring a General Assistant at King Edward VI Aston School in Birmingham. The role supports daily food service, maintains hygiene standards and provides friendly customer service.

You will work 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday 10:00am–2:00pm, term-time only with 38 weeks, permanent part-time. Training is provided for all new staff, and DBS checks may be required.

About the Role

As a General Assistant you’ll support the day-to-day running of a busy food service operation. From preparing and serving food to keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and organised, you’ll help ensure everything runs smoothly.

You’ll work as part of a supportive team delivering great service while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.

Additional Information

Term Time Only – Equated Pay

This role works 38 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
