Job summary

Prospero Teaching is seeking confident and adaptable General Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across the Southampton area. The role involves supervising lessons across KS3 and KS4, delivering pre‑prepared materials, and maintaining a productive learning environment.

This position offers full-time or flexible hours with pay up to £130 per day. Ideal candidates have experience with young people, strong communication, and the ability to lead groups independently.

Responsibilities

• Supervise lessons across KS3 and KS4 as part of day-to-day cover.
• Deliver pre‑prepared materials and instructions.
• Keep students on task and engaged with learning.
• Manage classroom behaviour according to school policies.
• Support students with lesson activities where appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, positive learning environment.
• Provide clear feedback to teaching staff after lessons.
• Build positive relationships with students and school staff.
