Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions is hiring a General Builder in Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The ideal candidate will lead on-site teams, apply multi-skilled construction know-how, and work closely with Project Managers.

The role requires travelling to project sites and operating various construction machinery to restore residential properties after pollution incidents. The position emphasises hands-on work, safety, and delivering high standards.

• Construction professional with multi-skilled experience, capable of taking charge and inspiring others.
• Strong organisational and planning skills to manage day-to-day site activities effectively.
• Clean driving licence and readiness to hit the road.
• Willingness to travel and work away as required, tackling challenges head-on.
• Must be based within Northern Ireland and available to travel.

At MEL Environmental Solutions, we’re specialists in restoring properties after pollution incidents. We're looking for a General Builder to join our dynamic team and make a difference in the insurance and environmental restoration industry.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead and coordinate teams on-site to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to the highest standard.
• Bring your multi-skilled construction expertise to life – from bricklaying to underpinning, concreting, drainage, and more.
• Operate machinery like mini diggers and dumpers
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to their original condition
• Get hands-on with tools, from demolition hammers to jigsaws (we’ve got the latest gear, and we prioritise your safety with PPE and HAVS controls).
• Travel to project sites
• Work closely with our Project Managers
