Job summary

MEL Environmental Solutions is seeking a General Builder to join our on-site team. You will lead and coordinate multi-skilled crews, ensuring projects are delivered safely and to high standards, from setup to handover.

Tasks include bricklaying, concreting, drainage, and other activities across diverse sites. You will travel to project sites, operate machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers, and work with Project Managers to plan daily activities.

Qualifications

• Must be a construction professional with multi-skilled experience and capability to lead on-site teams.
• Strong organisation and planning skills to manage day-to-day site activities.
• Clean driving license and willingness to travel to project sites.
• Able to travel and work away as required, tackling challenges head-on.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate on-site teams to deliver projects efficiently and to high standards.
• Utilise multi-skilled construction expertise from bricklaying to underpinning, concreting, drainage and more.
• Operate machinery such as mini diggers and dumpers.
• Mix concrete, demolish, dig, and restore residential properties to original condition.
• Use tools from demolition hammers to jigsaws with a focus on safety and PPE/HAVS controls.
• Travel to project sites and work closely with Project Managers.

What You’ll Do:

• Get hands-on with tools, from demolition hammers to jigsaws (we’ve got the latest gear, and we prioritise your safety with PPE and HAVS controls).
