Job summary

JD Gyms in Tees Valley is seeking a dedicated cleaner who takes pride in upholding extremely high cleanliness standards and helping create a welcoming environment for members and staff.

You will perform daily cleaning duties, support brand standards, follow health and safety policies, and provide friendly, professional service to members.

This role is geared towards someone who works well in a team, communicates effectively, and can adapt to a busy gym setting.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills with attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
• Commitment to delivering excellent member service.
• Experience in customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication to build positive relationships with members and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all club areas.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report defects to ensure equipment and facilities are safe to use.
• Maintain high standard of cleanliness across the gym facility.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards as per company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities to promote consistent standards across the business.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties.
