Job summary

JD Gyms in Wales is seeking a motivated cleaning operative to maintain high cleanliness standards across the club and contribute to a welcoming environment for members and staff.

You will ensure safety and cleanliness, support brand standards, and participate in ongoing training to uphold JD Gyms’ reputation for quality. This role offers opportunities for development within a growing club network.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Commitment to delivering high standards of cleanliness and member service.
• Experience in a customer-facing, cleaning, leisure or similar environment is advantageous.
• Effective communication and ability to build positive relationships with members and colleagues.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report defects to ensure building and equipment are safe to use.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the gym facility.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives and training activities to promote consistent standards.
• Undertake any other reasonable duties.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that all policies and procedures in both the Health and Safety Employee Policy and Company Procedures Handbook are adhered to.
• Support and maintain JD Gyms brand standards across all areas of the club.
• Conduct daily, weekly, monthly cleaning and safety checks.
• Report all defects to ensure the building and its equipment is safe to use.
• Ensure the gym facility is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance and uniform standards in line with company expectations.
• Deliver outstanding member service through positive and professional interactions.
• Support learning and development initiatives, including training activities designed to promote consistent standards across the business.
• To undertake any other reasonable duties.
