Job summary

BaxterStorey currently seeks a General Assistant for a site on Prologis Park, Coventry. The role involves serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, aiding in front-of-house tasks, and maintaining food safety standards. Training and development opportunities accompany a supportive team environment.

We offer 28 days holiday, enhanced maternity leave, pension, life insurance, and free meals while at work. Five days out of seven, 37.5 hours weekly, with an hourly rate of £12.71.

• Ideally have experience working within contract catering and/or hospitality.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and serving of breakfast, lunch, snacks and dinner according to established menus and recipes.
• Maintain cleanliness of the front of house areas including organising dishes and utensils.
• Follow proper food handling and storage procedures to ensure food safety and prevent contamination.
• Monitor inventory levels of food and supplies and notify management of any shortages or discrepancies.
• Assist with filling vending machines and maintaining their cleanliness.
• Provide friendly and efficient service to our customers front of house and in hospitality/events settings.
• Participate in training sessions and meeting related to food service procedures, safety protocols, and customer service standards.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a General Assistantwith a background in exceptional food catering services to join our business and in a site on Prologis Park, Coventry. Experience preferred but not essential.

Job Description

As a General Assistantyou will…
