Job summary

Abbeyfield Havant is seeking a General Assistant (Housekeeping / Domestic) to help keep the home clean and welcoming for residents. The role includes cleaning, laundry, meal preparation support and assisting in the kitchen while upholding high hygiene standards.

No prior experience is required as training will be provided; eligibility to work in the UK and an Enhanced DBS check may be requested by Abbeyfield.

Responsibilities

• Keep the Home clean and tidy for residents and visitors.
• Assist with meal preparation and support Kitchen staff in serving meals.
• Clean residents' bedrooms, communal areas and offices as scheduled.
• Handle laundry and keep laundry areas organised.
• Provide healthy, nutritious food support and maintain hygiene standards.

We are now looking for a dedicated General Assistant to join our team at Abbeyfield Havant

Role: General Assistant - Housekeeper and Domestic
Pay: £12.71 p/h
Location: 12 Emsworth Road, Havant, PO9 2SS Hours: 6 hours p/w
Shift Times: 9am to 12pm

The Role of General Assistant - Housekeeping / Domestic:

• As one of our valued general assistants, you're at the front line of care. We're passionate about creating a lovely environment for our residents to enjoy. So you'll help us keep our Home clean and tidy for our residents, assist with meal preparation, and welcome our many visitors.
• Every resident should enjoy a tidy and well maintained environment, clean laundry, and carefully support the Kitchen staff inpreparingmeals, presented to the highest standard.
• You may work within the cleaning and housekeeping schedules as set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• This varied role may include cleaning of the residents' bedrooms, self-contained flats, the communal areas and offices.
• You may also assist in providing healthy and nutritious food for our residents. By keeping all kitchen and store areas clean, and following all hygienic practices you help protect our residents and keep them safe.
