Job description

General Assistant – Darlington – FM Service Provider - £11.44 per hour

Exciting opportunity for a Kitchen Assistant to work for an established company situated in Darlington. The successful candidate will have a proven track record as an Assistant and will be able to start immediately.

Hours/Details:

• Monday to Friday
• 09:00am to 14:00pm
• Pay rate - £11.44 per hour
• Ongoing contract
• Enhanced DBS needed
• Immediate start

Requirements:

Must have Level 2 Food & Safety certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be flexible according to business requirements.
• Serve food and beverages to customers, following prescribed methods of portioning, presentation, and combinations in line with brand standards, and answer questions about the products.
• Perform basic cold food preparation and made-to-order services, including hot deli and live action, in line with standards.
• Take payment and keep financial records as required.
• Empty cash vending machines or cashless loaders.
• Restock goods and ensure appropriate displays of merchandise.
• Clean back-of-house areas, crockery, and cutlery using equipment when trained.
• Clean and tidy counters, light equipment, vending machines, and public areas.
• Report feedback, complaints, suggestions, stock needs, breakages, faults, or hazards to the line manager.
• Perform daily paper and computer work as assigned.
• Keep diligent records as required.
• Follow food hygiene and safety procedures in line with health and safety regulations.
• Undertake relevant training as required.
