Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is hiring a General Assistant at MOD Bicester to help us deliver great food, friendly service and welcoming spaces. The role focuses on catering and hospitality, with duties including food preparation, serving and maintaining dining areas.

You’ll work varied shifts across 06:00–20:30, 37.5 hours per week, five days out of seven including weekends, and you’ll be supported with training. The position offers Sodexo rewards and benefits and a friendly team on site.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing, cooking and serving food and drinks, following training and food safety procedures.
• Welcome customers and provide friendly, helpful service.
• Support the preparation, service and clearing down of ad hoc functions.
• Keep kitchen, dining and hospitality areas clean, tidy and ready for use.
• Receive deliveries, replenish stock and store items safely.
• Handle payments accurately when required.
• Support cleaning teams, carrying out general cleaning in communal areas, accommodation and other allocated spaces.
• Work flexibly across different units onsite, following your team leader’s direction.
• Follow health, safety and hygiene procedures, reporting equipment faults or concerns promptly.

Working 5 days out of 7, including weekends

Varied shifts: 06:00–14:00, 08:00–16:00, 11:00–19:00 and 12:30–20:30

Catering and hospitality will be your main focus, including preparing and serving food and drinks, supporting functions and keeping our dining and service areas running smoothly.

You’ll also be required to support other units across the site as business needs arise, including retail outlets, general cleaning and accommodation cleaning. Flexibility to work across these services is an essential part of the role, with training provided for the tasks you undertake.
