Job summary

Volta Infrastructure Holdings Ltd. is seeking a General Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting across entities, including processing, journals, reconciliations, VAT, and month-end tasks in Xero and eventually the group ERP.

You will work closely with the VP Accounting and SSC Reporting Manager, exposing you to multi-currency banking and equity accounting. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who wants breadth, responsibility and a front-row seat to a finance function being

Qualifications

• Part-qualified accountant actively studying ACCA/CIMA/ACA
• 2+ years in an accounting role with AP, journals and reconciliations
• Strong double-entry fundamentals and attention to detail
• Advanced Excel (LOOKUPs, pivot tables)
• Experience with Xero or similar ledger systems; multi-currency exposure helpful

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices, employee expenses and payment runs across group entities
• Post journals for accruals, prepayments, payroll and intercompany with documentation
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations (bank, AP, payroll, deposits) to monthly deadlines
• Support UK VAT returns and overseas VAT compliance (Germany, Norway, Spain)
• Maintain fixed asset and prepayments registers under group policy
• Assist with month-end close checklist and entity reporting packs
• Support external audits with well-referenced evidence
• Assist data migration from Xero to the group ERP
