Job summary

Hyatt Regency Birmingham is seeking a General Accountant to support the Finance team. You will assist with debt collection, cashiering, banking, and revenue reconciliation, and review Officers, Entertainment, and Voids as part of daily financial operations. This is a full-time, on-site role offering 40 hours per week.

The role sits within Hyatt's hospitality finance function, with opportunities to contribute to hotel finance operations and to develop within a global hospitality group.

Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding debts in line with agreed terms.
• Maintain up-to-date market knowledge to identify and respond to factors affecting debt collection.
• Carry out general cashiering duties, including daily banking responsibilities.
• Perform revenue reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records.
• Review and verify Officers, Entertainment, and Voids.
• Support the Director of Finance with additional tasks as required.

Hyatt Regency Birmingham is ideally located in the heart of the city centre, adjacent to Symphony Hall and within walking distance of the International Convention Centre (ICC), Brindley Place, and the Bullring shopping centre. The Role

We are looking for a General Accountant to support our Finance team. Reporting to the Director of Finance, you will assist with debt collection, cashiering, banking, and revenue reconciliation. You will also review Officers, Entertainment, and Voids as part of daily financial operations.

This is a full time, on site role, working 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate collection of outstanding debts in line with agreed terms.

Carry out general cashiering duties, including daily banking responsibilities.

Perform revenue reconciliation and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Support the Director of Finance with additional tasks as required.

About You

Experience in hotel or hospitality finance, such as Accounts Receivable, Cashiering, or Income Audit.

Well organized, able to manage your workload, and work on your own initiative.

Good communication skills, takes responsibility for tasks, and works well with others.
