Job summary

Change Digital – Digital & Tech Recruitment is seeking a Data Engineer to join its AI practice in the UK. You will work on AI-powered data engineering projects across LLMs, GenAI, RAG, and AI Agents, with a focus on delivering real business outcomes.

The role is hybrid with base offices in Edinburgh, London, Manchester, Leeds or Birmingham. You will implement end-to-end data pipelines, ML workflows, and Azure AI integrations, collaborating with clients to drive measurable results.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience in Data Engineering.
• Strong Python and SQL development experience.
• Understanding of machine learning and data science fundamentals.
• Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and RAG.
• Understanding of AI Agent frameworks and orchestration approaches.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for learning and innovation.
• Experience with Azure AI services and cloud-based AI platforms.
• Exposure to MLOps and LLMOps practices.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Data Engineering with modern data platforms.
• Building, testing, and deploying AI and Machine Learning solutions.
• Developing GenAI applications using LLMs, RAG architectures, and agentic workflows.
• Delivering end-to-end data science activities including feature engineering, model training, and evaluation.
• Writing clean, maintainable, production-focused Python code.
• Supporting model evaluation, monitoring, and optimisation.
• Collaborating with clients and project teams to deliver tangible business outcomes.
