Version 1 is seeking a hands-on AI/ML Engineer to build, deploy, and optimize machine learning and generative AI solutions. You will develop production‑grade AI applications, integrate models into business systems, and support the full AI lifecycle.

The role requires strong Python/SQL, ML/deployment experience, and collaboration with architects, product managers, and engineering teams. Remote-friendly with UK focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in ML engineering or data science with production deployments.
• Experience deploying AI solutions including Gen AI apps and RAG systems.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency, plus model evaluation skills.
• Hands-on with Scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow, and Hugging Face.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI-powered applications and services.
• Train, fine-tune, evaluate, and deploy ML models.
• Develop feature engineering and evaluation pipelines.
• Implement model monitoring and cost-efficient inference.
• Build LLM-based apps, prompts, agents, and vector search workflows.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineers.
