Academics in Kent is seeking a GCSE Tutor for a part-time temporary role across multiple areas. The position offers around 10 hours per week, with flexible arrangements and a focus on supporting learners through GCSE and KS3/4.

You will design engaging lessons, adapt plans to individual needs, monitor progress, and help students build confidence while maintaining a safe learning environment. Prior education experience and strong communication are essential.

Are you an experienced GCSE Tutor looking for a flexible opportunity where you can make a real difference to learners?

We are looking for enthusiastic and committed Tutors to support students across multiple areas of Kent. This role would suit an experienced education professional with a strong understanding of the secondary curriculum, particularly at GCSE, and ideally with experience supporting Key Stage 3 / 4 learners.

You'll be confident creating engaging, structured lesson plans and adapting your teaching approach to meet individual students' needs, abilities and learning goals.

About the role

As a Tutor, you will:

• Deliver engaging and purposeful GCSE tutoring sessions.
• Support Key Stage 3 / 4 learners, where required.
• Create and adapt lesson plans to suit individual students and their learning objectives.
• Help students build confidence, develop their subject knowledge and achieve their academic potential.
• Monitor progress and adapt your approach to support continued development.
• Build positive, professional relationships with students.
• Provide a safe, supportive and motivating learning environment.

About you

• Has previous experience working in an education setting.
• Has experience tutoring or teaching at GCSE and/or A-Level.
• Ideally has experience working with Key Stage 3 / 4 students.
• Is confident creating and delivering effective lesson plans.
• Is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about supporting young people.
• Can adapt their teaching style to different learning needs and abilities.
• Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Is able to work flexibly across relevant areas of Kent.
