Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated GCSE Tutor to provide one-to-one tuition for students in the DE7 Ilkeston area. The role is part-time and runs during school hours, offering flexible working arrangements and competitive pay dependent on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities include delivering tailored GCSE lessons, monitoring progress, and maintaining records, with safeguarding checks and right-to-work requirements in place.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience in the UK.
• Experience teaching GCSE-level students.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver personalised GCSE tuition on a 1:1 basis.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each student's needs and ability level.
• Support students in improving subject knowledge, study skills, and exam preparation techniques.
• Monitor progress and provide regular feedback.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
