Job summary

Prospero Teaching is partnering with Local Councils and SEND teams across the UK to provide tailored GCSE tutoring for students out of mainstream education. You will design engaging lessons and use our Tutor Portal resources to support diverse learning needs.

You will monitor progress, deliver EOW reports, and maintain clear communication with parents, ensuring progress and areas for improvement are shared effectively.

Qualifications

• QTS or relevant teaching qualification or Tuition experience.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum across key subjects.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build positive relationships with students.
• A passion for helping students succeed and confidence in teaching up to GCSE level.
• Experience with KS3/KS4 preferred.

Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver focused, personalised tuition across various GCSE subjects, ensuring students grasp core concepts.
• Design engaging, interactive lesson plans that adapt to individual learning styles with help of our own resources on our Portal for Tutors.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting your approach to meet their evolving needs by writing a EOW report.
• Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that motivates students to achieve academic success.

What We’re Looking For:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification OR Tuition experience.
• Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum across key subjects.
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build positive, impactful relationships with students.
• A passion for helping students succeed and confidence in teaching up to GCSE level.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with KS3 and KS4 students.
• Proven success in helping students achieve academic goals through one-on-one tutoring.
• The ability to inspire, motivate, and boost student confidence and engagement.
