Job summary

Quantum Scholars is seeking a patient GCSE Physics SEND Tutor to provide personalised one-to-one tuition to a learner in Wokingham. The role requires strong Physics knowledge and experience supporting secondary learners with SEND, with the ability to adapt pace, resources and explanations to meet individual needs.

Qualifications

• Strong Physics subject knowledge at GCSE level or above.
• Experience teaching or tutoring GCSE Physics.
• Experience working with secondary-aged children or young people with SEND.
• Experience providing one-to-one support is desirable.
• Ability to adapt teaching approaches to meet individual SEND needs.

Responsibilities

• Providing personalised one-to-one GCSE Physics tuition.
• Supporting a secondary-aged learner with SEND.
• Covering the GCSE Physics curriculum, including mechanics, energy, electricity, waves, forces and radioactivity.
• Supporting Astronomy-related topics where appropriate and within the tutor's subject knowledge.
• Adapting lessons, resources and teaching approaches to meet the learner's needs.
• Monitoring progress and providing appropriate feedback.
