MathsTutors.Online has created an innovative and highly successful tuition method for GCSE Maths students. While helping students surpass national results at half the cost of average tuition, we've developed a fun, engaging, and results-driven learning experience.

To continue serving our students excellently, we're seeking passionate and skilled tutors for our online maths tuition programme.

Key Responsibilities

1. Deliver GCSE Maths lessons via video call, using pre-prepared lesson plans (small group and 1:1)
2. Communicate with parents about student progress via email, phone, and video calls
3. Organise and conduct additional 1:1 catch-up sessions for struggling students
4. Cover other tutors' sessions during absences using free periods
5. Mark tests and provide feedback on student work
6. Collaborate with the team to maintain our programme’s excellence

Requirements

• Right to work in the UK
• STEM degree
• At least 2 years of tutoring or teaching experience with UK students and solid understanding of the UK education system
• Valid DBS certificate
• Proven track record of achieving above-average student results
• Concise, approachable tuition style
• Laptop and touchscreen tablet with pen
• Strong Wi-Fi connection
• Positive, enthusiastic, charismatic personality
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced, adaptable environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great sense of urgency and proactivity

Salary

• £32,000 per annum

Location

• Fully remote, within compatible time zones. Travel while working is encouraged if desired.

Availability

• Full-time, permanent, salaried position (not suitable for part-time or secondary jobs)
• Monday-Friday, 4pm-9pm UK time
• Two 1-hour team meetings weekly during weekdays
• Approximately 10 hours of flexible admin work outside scheduled hours
• Occasional weekend calls as needed
• Start date: 2nd June 2025
