Job summary

Remedy Tutors is seeking a patient, engaging tutor to provide 1:1 GCSE English and Maths tuition to a Year 11 student in Windsor. The role involves 2 hours per week, ideally split into one hour of English and one hour of Maths, over a 12-week period to help target GCSE grades 4–5.

The tutor will identify gaps, adapt lessons, and build confidence, working at a pace suitable for the student. This flexible, part-time placement offers meaningful impact.

Qualifications

• Have delivered GCSE English and/or Maths.
• Identify gaps in learning and adapt lessons to meet needs.
• Be patient, encouraging and skilled at building positive relationships.
• Commit to the 12-week placement in Windsor.
• Relevant teaching qualifications and experience supporting secondary-aged learners are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 GCSE English and Maths tuition.
• Identify and address gaps in knowledge and adapt lessons.
• Support student confidence and motivation through personalised activities.
• Record progress and adjust plan to reach GCSE targets 4–5.
• Maintain clear communication with the student and any supervising tutor.

Job description

Remedy Tutors is looking for a patient, engaging tutor to provide 1:1 GCSE English and Maths tuition to a Year 11 student in Windsor.

The student has experienced a significant gap in formal education and needs tailored support to rebuild subject knowledge, address gaps in learning and develop confidence ahead of her GCSEs.

You'll provide 2 hours of tuition per week, ideally split into one hour of English and one hour of Maths, helping the student work towards GCSE grades 4–5.

This is an opportunity to make a genuine difference by helping a young person re-engage with learning and make progress at a pace that works for her.

Location: Windsor
