Job summary

Randstad Education in Brixham, Devon, is seeking a Psychology Teacher to deliver GCSE and A-Level lessons. This full-time, temporary role starts immediately and runs through to October half-term with a potential extension. You will lead engaging lessons, assess progress, and support students toward strong exam outcomes.

QTS/QTLS is essential; experience with GCSE/A-Level psychology and UK exam boards (AQA/Edexcel/OCR) is desirable. An enhanced DBS check is required.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS is essential.
• Proven experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level.
• Enhanced DBS check on Update Service or willing to apply for one immediately.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-standard Psychology lessons aligned with the GCSE and A-Level curriculum.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress with constructive feedback.
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that supports learning.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet varied ability levels.
• Prepare learners for upcoming assessments and examinations.
• Participate in departmental meetings and curriculum development.
