Job summary

Randstad Education is seeking a Psychology Teacher to deliver high-quality lessons for GCSE and A-Level within a supportive secondary school department in Brixham. The role is full-time, temporary/supply, starting immediately and running through to October half-term with potential extension.

You will plan, deliver, assess, and report on student progress, maintaining a positive learning environment and applying varied strategies to support learners of all abilities.

Qualifications

• QTS / QTLS is essential.
• Proven experience teaching Psychology at GCSE and A-Level.
• Experience with major UK exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR) desirable.
• Strong subject knowledge and passion for the social sciences.
• Must possess an Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service or be willing to apply.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver high-standard Psychology lessons aligned with the curriculum specification.
• Assess, track, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to foster growth.
• Create a positive, well-managed classroom environment that encourages critical discussion and learning.
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students across various ability levels.
• Prepare learners effectively for upcoming assessments and examinations.
• Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to ongoing curriculum support.
