Job summary

Lloyds Banking Group is seeking a DevOps engineer focused on Google Cloud networking to help build and secure scalable cloud infrastructure. The role emphasises on-call rota, hybrid working with in-office presence, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable platform services.

You will work on network security, observability, and automation, ensuring resilience for AI and data workloads while aligning with regulatory and compliance requirements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with GCP networking in enterprise environments (VPCs, Interconnect, VPC Peering, Cloud Routers, Firewalls, DNS, Load balancers, Private Connectivity).
• Terraform expertise and IaC deployment experience.
• Practical DevOps with modern tooling (Git, Terraform, GitHub, Harness).
• Ability to review code, support colleagues, and troubleshoot networking issues in prod and non-prod environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and own cloud networking services through their full lifecycle with security and reliability baked in.
• Build automated infrastructure at scale and support application teams using GCP networking capabilities.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure secure, observable, and resilient cloud platforms.
