Job summary

Pracyva is seeking a delivery engineer in Manchester with strong hands-on Kubernetes experience, preferably with GKE and OpenShift. The role prioritises Google Cloud Platform, Terraform, and infrastructure automation, along with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins.

Responsibilities include designing release patterns, enabling self-service through Backstage, and driving observability via Dynatrace. Security controls with Vault and IAM must be implemented, plus Istio networking and production

Qualifications

• Experience with Kubernetes engineering and GKE preferred.
• OpenShift experience required.
• GCP experience preferred; Terraform and infra automation.
• Delivery engineering and CI/CD pipeline design responsibilities.
• Observability/SRE practices with Dynatrace and runbook automation.
• Security controls using Vault, IAM, and secure configurations.
• Networking concepts including Istio, ingress/egress, traffic management.
• Automation-first mindset with scripting and production support.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement delivery pipelines with CI/CD tooling.
• Automate release controls and deployment patterns.
• Utilize Backstage for self-service platform experiences and golden paths.
• Monitor and improve observability using Dynatrace and related tools.
• Ensure security and platform controls with Vault and IAM best practices.
• Manage networking and service mesh (Istio) configurations.
• Provide production support and troubleshooting across the platform.
