Job summary

iXceed Solutions in London is seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer / Technology Lead to guide the engineering delivery of a multi-tenant Data Integration Platform on Google Cloud Platform. The role combines hands-on engineering with architectural leadership, spanning CI/CD, data quality, observability and end-to-end data lineage.

You'll design scalable pipelines with Airflow, manage GCP services like BigQuery, Pub/Sub, Dataflow and Cloud Run, mentor engineers, engage stakeholders and drive

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Technical Lead or Lead Data Engineer delivering cloud data platforms.
• Strong hands-on experience with Apache Airflow and ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and data services like BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub.
• Knowledge of CI/CD, DevOps and automated quality gates.
• Terraform / IaC experience and cloud security basics (IAM, networking).
• Ability to communicate complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the technical roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Lead design reviews, code reviews and engineering discussions.
• Define engineering standards for coding, testing, observability and security.
• Mentor engineers and raise engineering standards across the team.
• Design, develop and maintain production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines with Airflow.
• Manage pipeline scheduling, dependencies, retries and backfills.
• Develop scalable data solutions on GCP and ensure data lineage and quality.
• Collaborate with product owners, architects, vendors and governance teams.
