Job description

Role: Data Architect-GCP

Responsibilities include designing Data Products, Data Mesh, ETL processes, and EDW solutions. Proficiency in Spark, Hive, Kafka, Pub-Sub, and Jira is required.

Key duties:

• Define Data Product Architecture and Roadmap.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to establish Target Model backlog and deliver Architectural Design.
• Ensure alignment with strategies, roadmaps, and policies.
• Support gathering information requirements from IT and Business stakeholders, ensuring they are realistic and achievable.
• Model information requirements for clarity among stakeholders.
• Understand enterprise-wide information architecture and relate specific requirements accordingly.
• Identify solution strengths and weaknesses, implementing mitigation strategies.
• Define the information roadmap for the project and broader program.
• Work within the wider application landscape to embed solutions effectively.
• Ensure data design consistency throughout all phases, facilitating knowledge transfer to Engineering teams.
• Define logical data interfaces and support physical design of data stores and services.
• Maintain compliance with client's Information policies and standards.
• Lead Architecture Committee governance approvals for artefacts.

Experience in UK Mortgages is advantageous but not mandatory. Knowledge of GCP, Harness, and Azure is expected.
