Role: Data Architect-GCP
Responsibilities include:
- Defining Data Product Definitions, Architecture, and Roadmap.
- Leading the delivery of complete Architectural Design in collaboration with client stakeholders.
- Aligning designs with relevant strategies, roadmaps, and policies.
- Gathering information requirements from IT and Business stakeholders, ensuring they are realistic and achievable.
- Modeling information requirements for stakeholder understanding.
- Understanding enterprise-wide information architecture and relating it to specific requirements.
- Identifying solution strengths and weaknesses, and taking steps to mitigate weaknesses.
- Defining the information roadmap for the project and wider programme.
- Embedding the solution within the wider application and information landscape.
- Ensuring data design consistency and facilitating knowledge transfer to the Engineering team.
- Defining logical data interfaces and aiding in the physical design of data stores and interfaces.
- Ensuring compliance with client information policies and standards.
- Leading Architecture Committee governance approvals for artefacts.
Technical Skills:
- Experience with Data Products, Data Mesh, ETL, EDW
- Knowledge of Spark, Hive, Kafka, Pub-Sub
- Experience with Jira
- Experience on GCP, Harness, Azure
Additional Notes:
- UK Mortgages background experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Ability to support gathering requirements from stakeholders and ensure solution alignment.
- Understanding of enterprise information architecture and solution integration.
- Support for the physical and logical design of data solutions.
- Compliance with information policies and standards.
- Participation in governance and approval processes.
