Job summary

Domino Printing Sciences is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the development and delivery of hardware service enablers aligned with the product roadmap. You will drive cross-functional collaboration across R&D to meet business goals and ensure robust, scalable hardware solutions.

From discovery to delivery, you will provide technical direction, manage risks, and influence teams to achieve technical excellence while upholding Agile values.

  • Proven people management and team development skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle, including risk management and project trade-offs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across teams, locations and functions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and drive all aspects of product development to enable the successful delivery of hardware enablers to support the product roadmap.
  • Provide technical direction and guidance to project team members to ensure successful project execution.
  • Work collaboratively with other R&D Leaders, Product Management and Program Management to ensure alignment on objectives and priorities and product delivery plans.
  • Ensure technical risks are identified, shared, mitigated, and escalated as necessary.
  • Work with peers across R&D to ensure individuals and teams continually develop their technical skills and experience to keep growing R&D capabilities.
  • Ensure sufficient technical governance around new technology and product development.
  • Evolve the right processes, tools, and approach to enable successful cross functional product delivery.
  • Identify gaps in requirements, specifications, and knowledge around hardware enablers and instigate actions to close those gaps.
  • Capture knowledge gained to develop robust solutions in a clear and accessible format.

About The Role

To be successful in this role, you will work collaboratively with other R&D teams and wider business functions to achieve agreed business goals.
