You will play a key role in delivering engineering projects ranging from equipment upgrades and new installations through to major factory development initiatives. The role combines project planning and management with hands‑on support for manufacturing operations, ensuring the reliability, performance, and ongoing development of control systems across SCADA, PLC, MES, and associated software platforms. Working closely with Production, Engineering, and external partners, you will help shape the site's automation strategy, enhance manufacturing efficiency, and support the successful delivery of future technology and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise across Process Control, SCADA, MES, PLC, and Instrumentation systems.
  • Identify, develop, and deliver engineering improvement and capital projects.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders on equipment selection, project delivery, and system enhancements.
  • Maintain accurate system documentation and ensure effective change control.
  • Develop training, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for new systems and equipment.

  • Demonstrable experience leading engineering projects, including contractor management and budget responsibility.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with experience in root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels.
  • Self‑motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently in a fast‑paced operational environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer‑focused outcomes.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working within a Lean manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of reliability and maintenance methodologies, including FMEA and RCM.
