Job summary

Search Consultancy LTD in Morpeth is seeking an experienced Gateman / Traffic Marshal to join a live construction development. You will control site access, log visitors and deliveries, and manage vehicle movements to ensure a safe, orderly entry point.

This 1-month, full-time assignment offers a £17.00 per hour rate, weekly pay, and reliable shift patterns. You will hold CSCS and NPORS credentials, wear full PPE, and demonstrate punctual, proactive communication on site.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required.
• NPORS (Traffic Marshal/Banking) certification required.
• Right to work in the UK established.
• Full 5-point PPE: hard hat, high-vis vest/jacket, safety boots, gloves, safety glasses.
• Proven track record as Gateman or Traffic Marshal on busy construction sites.

Responsibilities

• Manage main site entrance and log visitors, deliveries, vehicles and personnel.
• Coordinate and safely bank delivery vehicles and plant movements.
• Ensure pedestrian safety and maintain clear access corridors around the site perimeter.
• Direct communication with site management and drivers to coordinate drops and prevent congestion.
• Provide perimeter security checks and keep the gatehouse area tidy.
