Job Description

Our General Manager of Security is looking to recruit reliable and dedicated Gatehouse Operatives. You will manage vehicle movements on and off the property, including LGV vehicles, delivery vans, contractors, visitors, and international freight forwarders. Your role is to ensure all vehicle and driver details are accurately recorded to prevent unauthorized access.

You will process arrivals and departures in line with company policies, ensuring freight loads are correctly accounted for and secured for departure. The Gatehouse Operative will control site access using electronic or manual barriers and physical presence, communicating effectively with various stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure only authorized vehicles access and exit the site
• Communicate vehicle movements to relevant departments
• Perform physical checks of vehicle details, seals, and security measures
• Check reported empty trailers arriving and departing
• Work as part of a team to deliver security and customer service
• Coordinate activities between contractors, employees, and visitors
• Liaise with emergency services and third-party organizations
