Job summary

EVI Group in the United Kingdom is seeking a highly skilled Gate Automation Service Engineer to join our specialised team. You will maintain, install, and troubleshoot gate automation systems across multiple sites, focusing on safety and reliability.

You will diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, service automated gates, barriers, bollards, and related equipment, and ensure compliance with DHF guidance and British standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a gate automation/service engineer.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical systems and hand tools/power tools.
• Familiarity with safety standards and DHF guidance.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive service works per DHF guidance and company procedures.
• Service, maintain and fault find on automated gates, barriers, bollards and related systems.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults safely and efficiently.
• Inspect, test and verify safety devices and perform force testing and risk assessments.
• Complete service reports, test records and job documentation accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers, site managers and colleagues.
• Participate in an out-of-hours emergency call-out rota when required.
