Job summary

Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Consultant Gastroenterologist to join the Gastroenterology service across Barnet and Chase Farm Hospitals. The successful applicant will deliver outpatient clinics and endoscopy lists, participate in the on-call rota, and contribute to audit, teaching and clinical governance.

The post offers 10 PAs of direct clinical and supporting activity, with a strong multidisciplinary team and opportunities for research and professional development

Qualifications

MRCP or equivalent medical degree.
Full GMC Registration.
CCST or CCT in Gastroenterology or within 6 months of obtaining CCT at time of interview.
MD or PhD.
Competent in diagnostic and advanced therapeutic endoscopy.
Broad experience in general clinical gastroenterology and hepatology.
Experience in training and education of undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Responsibilities

Deliver gastroenterology outpatient and endoscopy services across sites.
Join multidisciplinary team to provide inpatient and outpatient GI service and Endoscopy sessions.
Contribute to audit, research and teaching.
Participate in on-call rota for GI bleeding and inpatient care.
