Siemens Energy in Newcastle is seeking an experienced engineer to support the UK & Ireland fleet of large gas turbines. You will review turbine data, translate technical insight into actionable recommendations, and provide first-response support to the fleet.

You will coordinate engineering activities across the full shaft train and interact with customers and colleagues. You will be based in Newcastle, collaborating with a wider team to ensure safe, reliable power generation while contributing

Qualificações

• A relevant engineering degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• A solid understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their real-world application.
• Strong critical thinking and adaptable problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Siemens Energy large gas turbines is preferred; steam turbines or generators are advantageous.
• High computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Office, and familiarity with SAP.

Responsabilidades

• Review and assess gas turbine data to define technical scope, recommendations, and risk assessments for maintenance activities.
• Act as the single point of contact for engineering activities, coordinating across departments and the full shaft train.
• Respond to operational queries from the UK gas turbine fleet, providing timely first response support.
• Communicate with internal teams and external customers to plan outages and resolve technical questions.
• Attend power station sites to support planned and unplanned maintenance, coordinating with colleagues to deliver high-quality solutions.
