Job Title: Gas Service Engineer

Salary: £45,000 - £48,000 + (call out and emergency rate) + van + fuel card

Are you a hands-on GAS professional passionate about customer service and technical excellence? We are seeking a Gas Service Engineer to join a high-performing energy operations team based in Guernsey.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient servicing, installation, and maintenance of domestic gas appliances—including fires, cookers, burners, boilers, central heating—while promoting safety, collaboration, and exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Install, service, and maintain gas appliances (fires, cookers, burners, boilers, central heating, etc.)
2. Respond to reported gas emergencies as a first responder
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot a range of domestic appliances
4. Support gas leak detection, repair, and maintenance alongside network teams
5. Deliver excellent customer care during service visits and comfort calls
6. Supervise and support apprentices as needed
7. Ensure compliance with gas industry regulations and safety protocols
8. Accurately record and report work (both paper and digital formats)

Experience Required:

1. Experience working with various gas appliances, especially fires, cookers, and burners
2. Gas Safe Registered (UK-based) and willing to relocate to Guernsey
3. Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
4. Customer-first mindset with clear communication skills
5. Strong responsibility and safety awareness
